The State Academic Capella “Glinka” from St Petersburg gave a concert on Monday, 21 September 2026 at 8 pm at the St Sava Centre in the Cathedral complex in Niš - the fourth visit of this famous ensemble to Niš.
The concert was organised by the Niš Church Choral Society “Branko” and the Cathedral administration, with the blessing of Archbishop and Metropolitan Arsenije of Niš. The performance in Niš was part of the Capella's tour of Serbia, which also included a concert in Negotin on 20 September.
The friendship between “Branko” and the “Glinka” Capella has lasted for decades - the Society performed in St Petersburg in 2008 and 2012, and “Glinka” sang in Niš at the 120th jubilee of “Branko” in 2007.
