The Great Hall of the St Sava Centre in Ni\u0161 was the venue of an exceptional musical event that brought together lovers of classical music at the concert of Konstantin Emelyanov, one of the most prominent pianists of the younger generation and a laureate of the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition. In a space that uniquely unites spirituality and art, the Russian virtuoso gave the audience in Ni\u0161 an unforgettable evening, filled with lavish piano sound, deep musical sensitivity and exceptional interpretative maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert was held with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop and Metropolitan Arsenije of Ni\u0161, organised by the Ni\u0161 Church Choral Society \u201cBranko\u201d, the concert agency GrandConcert.rs and the Ni\u0161 Cultural Centre, in cooperation with the Diocese of Ni\u0161 and the City of Ni\u0161. It was Emelyanov's first visit to Serbia, during which, just two days after his performance at the Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade, he also presented his pianistic art to the audience in Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special value was added to this musical event by the participation of the young Ni\u0161 pianist Vuk Petrovi\u0107, who opened the concert and introduced the main part of the programme. Besides the musical education he is receiving at the Music School in Ni\u0161, Vuk is also a member of the Ni\u0161 Church Choral Society \u201cBranko\u201d, where he develops his musical abilities and artistic sensitivity through choral singing. His performance was a fine example of the connection between musical education, youthful talent and the tradition the Society has nurtured for almost a century and a half.
